Art Therapy
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative expression through visual arts—such as drawing, painting, or sculpting—as a way to help individuals explore their emotions, reduce stress, and improve mental well-being. It is especially effective for people who find it difficult to express themselves with words, including children and individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, or depression. By engaging in the creative process, clients can gain insight into their thoughts and feelings, build self-esteem, and develop coping skills. Art therapy is used in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, and mental health clinics, and is facilitated by licensed art therapists who combine psychological theory with artistic techniques to support healing and personal growth.

Karina is currently completing a Bachelor of Art Therapy and is on track to graduate in mid-2026. Once qualified, she will offer one-on-one art therapy, group sessions, as well as nature-based Ecotherapy. Her approach will combine evidence-informed practice with creative exploration to support emotional wellbeing in a safe and inclusive space.
